Update (November '07): I returned to the United States this spring from Kazakhstan. I spent over one year working with two orphanages. We mainly worked on building life skills, empowerment, and health education/promotion. I really enjoyed the experience and loved being overseas! Currently, I am studying to get my masters degree at the University of California, Davis. I am studying community development with an emphasis in gender and development. Eventually, I would like to go back abroad and work for a developing agency in the field of international development.

Update
(August '06): Currently, I live in Kazakhstan as an international development worker. My specific project is working with Kazakh orphans. I teach English and conduct social programs to teach basic skills, health education, self-esteem, and empowerment. It is a very fulfilling job and I love what I am doing!
In my spare time, I am taking intense Russian lessons and learning Kazakh, which are challenging languages.  I love to hike, spend time with friends and family, and travel and learn about other cultures!

Memories of OSU Gymnastics:
OSU was a great experience! I am extremely grateful that I had this opportunity! It was a very memorable time. The team gatherings and traveling were some of the best times. I learned a lot about people and overcoming challenges. Many of those experiences have helped me today in my life abroad. Also, I met amazing people - my best friends!
